Reading from the book of Philippians, chapter 3, Paul says, “I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God…” Over the past several days, it has become apparent to me many Christians struggle with the past. Sometimes it is a physical past. I use to look like this, I use to be able to do that, my body does not do what I want it to do. Sometimes Christians struggle with past sins and mistakes. Sometimes Christians struggle with the inability to achieve in the past. I am sure you can think of more examples. What is the spiritual antidote from the book of Philippians? Your life is in front of you, not behind you. Do not focus on history, but rather look forward acknowledging great potential. Look at Jesus, He is in front of you. Press forward toward Him, not looking back at disappointments, frustrations and past glory days.
